Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Talyx ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. License
2.1 Free Trial
New installations receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features, including 50 vision credits for image and video AI recognition. After the trial expires, a valid license key is required.
2.2 Personal License

2.3 Talyx AI Subscription

Subscription: Provides unlimited AI classification for all file types (documents, images, videos). No external AI subscription required. Cancel anytime — access continues until the end of the billing period.
2.4 Vision Credits
Vision credits are consumed when Talyx analyzes images or video content using AI. Each image or video frame costs 1 credit. Document classification (PDFs, DOCX, spreadsheets, text files) does not consume vision credits.
Additional credit packs can be purchased:

Credits do not expire. Unused credits carry over indefinitely.
3. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms: stripe.com/legal
- One-time purchases (Personal license, credit packs): charged once at time of purchase.
- Subscriptions (Talyx AI): charged monthly. Cancel anytime via your account page.
4. Refunds
- Personal license: 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked.
- Vision credit packs: Non-refundable once credits have been used. Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days.
- Talyx AI subscription: Cancel anytime. No partial refunds for the current billing period.

5. Intellectual Property
Talyx and all associated intellectual property are owned by the developer. You receive a license to use the software, not ownership.
6. Data Processing
6.1 Document Classification
When using the Personal plan with your Claude subscription, documents are classified locally through the Claude Code SDK. Document content is sent directly from your device to Anthropic (your AI provider) — it does not pass through our servers.
6.2 Vision Classification
When using vision credits or the Talyx AI subscription, image thumbnails (maximum 512px, JPEG) and video frame thumbnails are sent to our server for AI processing. Our server:
- Validates your license and credits
- Forwards the thumbnail to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis
- Returns the classification result to your device
- Does not store your images or thumbnails after processing
6.3 Smart Local Mode
Extension-based classification and metadata extraction run entirely on your device. No data is sent externally.
7. Limitation of Liability
Talyx is provided "as is". We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use of the App, including but not limited to data loss. Always maintain backups of your files.

Your privacy is fundamental to Talyx. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data flows between Talyx, our server, and your chosen AI provider.
